Started on 5/20/26.  I love her writing! Finished on 5/26/26.  6 days.

I couldn’t put this book down.  From the very first page & chapter it hooks you in.
The son, a quiet straight A student has a dark side.  His new girlfriend goes missing and he’s getting the blame by everyone.  Most of the time even his mother blames him.  The cops arrest him with some weak evidence and testimony from some of his early teachers.
Did he do it?  You’ll have to read it to find out.

Chapters were short, characters very well written.  Giving this book a 10/10.

Amazon first read.  Started on 5/11/26.  245 pages.  Looked good so I thought I’d try it.

Edison Bixby.  Detective.  Shot in face.  Lived.  Needed a side kick to continue to work.
Grant Murdock.  Executive chef, narcissist and playboy.  Drops dead from his Gumbo recipe at a big event.
Bridget McGregor.  Detective.

Finished 5/20/26.  Really good book.  Main characters well written.  Names got confusing later in the book but mysteries were still solved.
I will read the other books that come out in this series.

9 Days.  I’m giving this book a 9/10.  It kept my interest.

8 lbs Frozen strawberries from Walmart (2 4lb bags)
Thawed with Pectic Enzyme (1 TBlsp) berries in 2 buckets and mashed

2/21/26
I’m doing this in 2 buckets so it’s 1 recipe for both.  Each bucket gets the same recipe.

4 lbs honey
2 gallons water
Strawberries
1 Tsp Fermaid-O
Mangrove Jacks Yeast (1/2 packet for each bucket)

Stirred all ingredients and mixed well.
S.G. = 1.082 ~ 10%ABV

2/23/26
1 tsp Fermaid-O (1 in each bucket)

3/23/26 Racked into 1 gallon carboys (3) and stabilized

5/17/26
Back sweetened each gallon to 1.030 and added 2 Tblsp strawberry flavoring before bottling.
Yielded a whole case +3 extra bottles.

Started on 5/1/26.  This was TikTok recommended best book.
I’m 22 chapters into the book.  It took a while to get to the “meat” but now that I’m there I don’t want to stop reading.

The meat of the book was great.  It ended to early though.  The exciting part came to a head and there was still 30% of the book left.

Twists and turned for that last 30% though.  The “why” became known and the “who” wrapped up.

The Hackers hijacked 8 autonomous cars and told the world that they would crash and burn in 2 hours.  Some of them didn’t make it the whole 2 hours.  The ones that did, did they burn?  Who are the hackers?  Why are they causing chaos on the streets of England?
You’ll have to read it to find out why.

Chapters were short (ish) and characters were well written.  I knew who almost everyone was.  Could picture them.
