I finished on <strong>11\/1\/23<\/strong>. <strong>17 days<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is a police procedural book.\u00a0 Not my favorite.\u00a0 Writer is English so there are a lot of &#8220;accent&#8221; in the book.\u00a0 (pygamas instead of pagamas for instance)<\/p>\n<p>A serial murderer in a group home for homeless children.\u00a0 Kim (The &#8220;guv&#8221; and lead detective) was in a group home herself as a young girl.\u00a0 She rides a motorcycle and is a real badass.\u00a0 After 3 of the 4 people who were &#8220;involved&#8221; in the cover up of the murders are murdered themselves Kim takes the case.\u00a0 There are several characters that seem to get lost.\u00a0 The chapters were fairly short.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t &#8220;love&#8221; this book.\u00a0 I&#8217;m giving it this book a 6 out of 10.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-729\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.mrice.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/silentscream.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"279\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I started this book on 10\/16\/23.\u00a0 This one is an older one that was in my library.
