Finished on 9/15/26. 20 days.
It was a long book. Characters were well written and you really did get the sense that Latch was wrongly convicted.
Chapters were on the long side for me. John has a way of writing that keeps your interest but once you get to the “meat” of the book you don’t want to put it down.
Elenor walks into Latch’s office and asks for a will. Tells him she’s rich beyond belief. He draws the will up and starts ingratiating her. She tells him she has no family. The dollar signs start rolling in his eyes.
Greed takes over. Elenor gets in a car accident and ends up in the hospital. She comes down with a mysterious case of pnuemonia and ends up passing away. The will makes Latch look guilty. He gets arrested, tried and convicted of murder.
He has to find the real killer and get his name cleared.
Good book. Giving it an 8/10 just because it was so long.
